The main purpose of thestudy is todiscussthe risk factorsassociatedwithfamilydynamics, protectiveandpreventiveapproaches in childabuse. Initssimplestdefinition, childabuse, is physical, sexual, and/or psychological maltreatmentorneglect of a childorchildren.Child abuse has beenincreasing in ourcountryand in theworld in recentyears.Child abuse, whichnegativelyaffectsthedevelopment of thechild in allaspects, alsoconstitutes an importantobstacletoraisinghealthysocieties. Manyfactorssuch as parents' attitudesandbehaviors, personalitytraits, healthconditions, levels of knowledgeandskills in raisingchildren, socio-economicstatus, andeducationlevelsareimportantcomponents of thechild'sexposuretoabuse in terms of familydynamics.Primaryhealthcareservices, schools, andChild AdvocacyCentersareveryimportant in determiningfamily-based risk factors, evaluatingthem in a holisticmannerandmonitoringthem, as well as protectiveandpreventivestudies of childabuse. Withinthescope of thestudy, nationalandinternationalstudies on childabusewerescrutinized, protectiveandpreventiveinterventions,familydynamics of childrenwhowerevictims of abusewereevaluated.Inthiscontext, evaluation of family-based risk factors inprimaryhealthcareservices, assessment of parentsbycounselingteachers in schools, Child AdvocacyCentersarethemostimportantsteps in determiningtherisks.It is thoughtthat;categorizing at-risk groupsandmakingthenecessaryinterventionsandguidanceaccordingto risk priority, increasingtheawareness of parents,implementingprotectiveandpreventiveinterventionswith a multidisciplinaryteamunderstandingwithin a comprehensiveandstandardized program andevaluatingtheeffectiveness of interventionsthroughacademicstudieswill be a guidein determiningfamily-related risk factorsandcombatingtheserisks in childabuse
