Abstract

The light curve of KP And eclipsing binary star system, which lacks a detailed photometric study in the literature, obtained from Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS) observations, was first modeled in this study. The updated light element was obtained using the minimum times calculated from the TESS observations of the system. The solution revealed that the KP And system is a detached binary star system. Using the light curve solution parameters, the absolute parameters of the system were estimated as M_1=1.67±0.17 M_⊙, R_1=2.20±0.14 R_⊙ and M_2=0.36±0.10 M_⊙ , R_2=1.56±0.26 R_⊙.
