Abstract

While the advances in technology offer some conveniences in our lives, on the other hand, they cause some irreparable damage to the environment. As motor road vehicles, we can count environmentally friendly electric vehicles, solar-powered vehicles and hydrogen-fueled vehicles as popular today. In recent studies, some additives are added to the fuel to reduce the harmful effects of fossil fuel consumption, which is used in vehicles and causes global warming. In this study, vehicle-related harmful emissions were determined by making vehicle counts on the roads surrounding the province of Ağrı. The amount of emissions, CO, NOx, VOC and PM given to the atmosphere from vehicles in Ağrı were found to be approximately 455.24 tons, 117.30 tons, 72.18 tons and 15.01 tons annually, respectively.
