Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of the occupational health and safety course given at the university on students. 297 students formed the sample of the research. In order to collect data, the scale in the study named “Social Security Perceptions of University Students" was used. 5-point Likert-type scale data were analyzed using “SPSS for Windows 22.0” program. As the data were distributed normally, independent group t test was applied in the study. As a result of the study, it was determined that there was no statistically significant difference between the students who took OHS course and those who did not take occupational health and safety course in terms of their perception. In addition, the two-hour course for students was found to be insufficient for the forming of a safety culture.
