This study was carried out in 3 replicates according to a randomized block trial design in 2017 and 2018 in order to determine the effects on yield and some yield characteristics on chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) of different plant densities in ecological conditions of Siirt province. In the research, the effects of different plant densities (40, 50, 60, 70 and 80 seeds/m2) on yield and yield properties on Azkan variety of chickpea were investigated. According to the two-year averages, plant height, first pod height, number of pods per plant, number of seeds per plant, 100-seed weight, grain yield, biological yield and harvest index varied between 47,4-56,9 cm, 27,5-35,8 cm, 34,2-42,0 pcs/plant, 33,0-40,8 pcs/plant, 31,3-33,9 g, 77,6-119,8 kg/da, 345,5-423,6 kg/da and 27,1-31,4%. As a result of this study, the highest value in terms of grain yield (119.8 kg / da) was obtained from 60 seeds / m2 plant density. In chickpea cultivation in the conditions of Siirt province, 60 seeds / m2 of plant density is recommended.
