This study was conducted to determine the effects of different sowing dates and varieties on yield and yield components of common vetch in Tokat/Niksar ecological conditions during 2013 growing season. Trials were laid out in split plot design with three replications. In the study, three different sowing dates (10 Şubat, 25 Şubat ve 12 Mart) as main plots, and varieties (Soner, Kubilay-82, Alper ve Cumhuriyet-99) plots were applied as split plots. In the study, plant height, number of seconder branches, green herbage yield, dry herbage yield, number of pods per plant, number of seeds per pod, grain yield, crude protein ratio, protein yield and dry matter ratio were evaluated. According to the results of the study, plant height, number of seconder branches, green herbage yield, dry herbage yield, number of pods per plant, number of seeds per pod, grain yield, crude protein ratio, protein yield and dry matter varied between 49.4-53.3 cm, 3.16-3.60 pcs/plant, 907- 1228 kg/da, 320-432 kg/da, 6.76-8.96 pcs/plant, 3.22-4.99 pcs/pod, 49-217 kg/da, % 13.5-19.1 and 113-198 kg/da. As a result, In Niksar/Tokat conditions, Alper common vetch variety should be sown between late days of February and early days of March.
