DETERMINATION OF YIELD AND AGRICULTURAL CHARACTERS AND THE RELATIONSHIPS AMONG THE CHARACTERS ON MAIZE CULTIVARS GROWN AS SECOND CROP UNDER IRRIGATED CONTIONS OF HARRAN PLAIN

Abstract

This study was conducted to determie the yield and some agricultural characters and relationships among characters on maize cultivars grown as double crop under irrigated conditions of Harran plain at the experimental area of Agriculture Faculty of Harran University in double crop season. It was designed as randomized blocks with three eplications. In experiment, it was tested 19 maize cultivars. In this study, grain yields were between 743.33-1276.67 kg da-1. The cultivars o P 3377, Elianthea, PX 74, X 751 and Manger gave high yield. It was obtained the positive and important relationships grain yield and 50 % flowering days, plant height, ear weight, grain yield pere ear.
