THE EFFECTS OF HARVEST TIME ON BIOMASS AND SYRUP YIELDS OF SWEET SORGHUM

Abstract

This research was done on farm plant application area of Eyyubiye Campus of Harran University, in the ecological condition of the city Şanlıurfa. This research was done in order to detect the effect of different time harvesting of two different sweet sorghums on mass and syrup productivity. The research was done three times repeatedly according to divided parcels trial pattern. There are different types on main parcels. These types are PHS and Samsun local. The harvesting times of Subparsels were % 50 bloomingtime, milk availability time, dough availability time and fully availability time. It is detected that percentage of sherbet, green and dried weed productivity of PHS type is higher.
