Abstract

Adsorption: It is the collection of undesirable waste materials on the surface of solids dissolved in solution. .(Kul ve ark,2019).In this study, the seeds of the Van Molla November Almond (Plum) (Prunus Domestica) plant were removed and ground into sawdust and used. Methylene blue is a chemical substance used in dyeing. After the Van Molla Alcali (Plum) kernel shavings were finely ground and passed through a 250 mesh sieve, 3 grams of it was added to solutions of different concentrations containing one liter of methylene blue dye. Samples were taken from these solutions at different time intervals and their adsorbances were measured at 660 nm wavelength in the UV-GB spectrophotometer. Measurements were made at 298K, 308K, 318K values and the data obtained were applied to first and second order kinetic models. In the first order kinetic model, the regression coefficients at 20 ppm methylene blue concentration were found as 298 K, 0.387 at 308 K, 0.407 at 318 K. and 0.388 at 318 K.In the second order kinetic model, the regression coefficients at 20 ppm methylene blue concentration were found as: 298 K, 308 K and 318 K, respectively. The effect of temperature on adsorption efficiency was observed as follows: As the temperature increased, it was determined that the 20 ppm methylene blue concentration was 77.53%, 76.84%, 76.42%, 298 K, 308 K and 318 K, respectively. As a result, it was observed that the data were more suitable for the second order kinetic model. These results show us that the shavings of Van Molla Kasım low (Plum) ( Prunus Domestica ) cores can be used for filter purposes to remove some textile dyes from waste water. .(Alok, 2006).
