THE EFFECT OF CULTIVATION OF CORN (Zea mays L.) AND SOYBEAN (Glycie max L.) ON THE YIELD AND SOME AGRICULTURAL CHARACTERS IN CUKUROVA CONDITIONS

Maize and soybean were grown together in different planting densities as main and double crop and effects of intercropping on yield and related characters were evaluated. Investigoted cnarecters were significantly affected by intercrop. Soybean yield was steady decreased as plant densities increased. İn contraly maize yield was increased depending on the increase of plant densities. Intercrop has increased the land equivalent ratios (LER).
