SOME AGRICULTURAL TRAITS AND QUALITY VALUES OF BARLEY (Hordeum vulgare L.) VARIETIES OF GROWN IN ALTINOVA AND POLATLI AGRICULTURAL ENTERPRISES

The main purpose of investigation was to determine agricultural properties and some quality analyzes of four standard (St) winter (King-97, Cetin 2000, Larende and Aydan Hanim) and 6 barley introduced from abroad (Reflexion, Apso-2, Apso- 3, Sixtine, Taranie and Bastille) grown under irrigated conditions in 2014-2015 growing season. The experiment was conducted in both Altınova and Polatlı Agricultural Enterprises locations, according to the completely randomized block design with four replications. According to the average results of the two agricultural researches in the trial, the lowest and highest grain yields were ranged from 604.3-885.9 kg da-1 with Aydan Hanım (St) and Reflexion; plant height 78.4-111.5 cm, with Apso-3 and Çetin 2000 (St); the hectolitre weight 65.0-68.9 kg/L with Larende (St) and Bastille; a weight of 1000 seeds 38.3-55.1 g with Reflexion and Taranie; crude protein ratio 8.2-11.1% with Aydan Hanım (St) and Taranie; at 2.5 mm over-sieve 85.4-97.2% with Reflexion and Apso-2 and under 2.5 mm sieves, 2.1-14.1% with Apso-2 and Aydan Hanım varieties, respectively
