Abstract

Catastrophic outbreaks caused by biological agents accidentally, purposely or naturally have caused many enviromental, social or economic consequences together with loss of life in the world history. Although coronaviruses are not biological warfare agents, it is possible to a biological war/terrorist action will cause a pandemic in the future. Today, the global struggle for the Covid-19 pandemic has revealed the vulnerability of societies to natural and man-made biological threats. The natural, accidental or intentional source of an epidemic whether by government or non-governmental administration doesn’t change that societies need to be better prepared to prevent, mitigate or confront effects pandemics. The lessons to be learned from the history of biological warfare will be effective in building disaster management steps such as preparation, prevention, detection, response and in preparation of action plans for use of a biological weapon in the future. In this study aim to shed light on the 21st century of the biggest pandemic Covid-19 related to discussion “Is a biological weapon?” and it compiled to prepare for future biological hazards with some primary elements and information about biological weapon
