Abstract

At the CNC lathes; tapered tips that used for wire up the parts to the lathe is lost its sensitive form and this situation is induced dimensional defects in workpiece. For prevent these defects, the tail spindles that on the lathe dismantling from the lathe and then its tapers are revised at the grinding lathes. At this work; the system design is composed for without dismantling from the CNC turret lathe processing the parts for grinding that used the tail spindles on the lathe. Designed system involves reducer, flat belt, tambour, metal sheet, pneumatic motor, grinding wheel and grinding process of tail spindles. With the system mounted on the CNC lathe, the tail spindles were grinding on-site without dismantling and dimensional defects in processed parts were removed and besides, were achieved savings from the labor and the time at the process of the grinding tail spindle.
