VISUAL COURSE MATERIAL DEVELOPMENT STUDY INCLUDING THE SCIENCE OF EVOLUTION AND SOME POPULAR BIOLOGICAL CONCEPTS

Abstract

Necessary documents were collected from websites, virtual library, current lecture notes, articles and documentary films about evolution related to the science of evolution and popular biological concepts. Thus, visual, auditory and literary research material was prepared. The aim is to develop visual, auditory and literary course material on this subject. In order to measure the effect of the material developed in the research on education, a preliminary study was carried out and positive results were obtained. In the research, the documents were examined. All collected data were evaluated according to scientific methods and criteria. In the research, 1383 visual, auditory, literary and relational concepts belonging to 129 scientific documentary films about the Science of Evolution were prepared. All collected concepts were collected on DVD as integrated with virtual programs and internet and located at http://www.nadidem.net/kf/ma/ma.html  

The virtual tools used in the research, the paths followed, the methods and all the stages of the processes are explained in the method section. The achievements of the research, its contribution to education and the conclusions are presented in the conclusion and recommendations section.
