Composite materials is one of the developing branches of materials science. It has become very preferred in the automotive, maritime, aviation, textile and defense industries because of its suitability for traditional production methods and allowing special production methods. In the field of composite materials, nano-size studies have gained importance with the developing technology. The aim of nanotechnology is to obtain new and superior properties in macro structures by working with nano-size. The properties of the materials in nanometrical dimensions vary according to the properties of the same material in the macro size. The nanoparticle-reinforced composites are materials formed by dispersing nano-sized particles in a matrix. The nanoparticles are used as reinforcements in materials such as ceramic, metal or polymer to form nano particlereinforced composites with improved properties. Nano-sized works have applied in the industry in order to increase the superior properties of composite materials or to give new properties to the material. In this study, the effect of single wall carbon nanotube on the mechanical properties and flammability properties of trimmed glass fiber reinforced unsaturated polyester matrix was investigated
