MAINTENANCE LOSS OF FAMILIES OF INDIVIDUALS RECEIVED PSYCHIATRIC DISEASE

Abstract

Individualswithchronicmentalproblemsmaintaintheirlivesunhappy, uneasy, creativityandlack of productivity. Inadditiontoharmingthemselvesduetotheirillness, patientsarealso a seriousburden on theirenvironmentandsociety (Tel, Ertekin Pınar, 2013). Chronicpsychiatricdisorderscausedisability, socialandeconomiclosses, as well as loss of cognitivedamage in individuals, patientshavedifficulty in fulfillingtherolesexpected in thefamily, in society, andtheyareobligedtoreceivefamilycareandsupportcontinuously (Çetinkaya Duman, Bademli, 2013). Thecommunity-basedtreatment of mentaldisorders has necessitatedtheprolongation of the time spentin thefamilyandtheactive role of families in thecare of patients (Atagün et al., 2011). Theconcept of givingcare; providingemotional, physicalormaterialsupporttothepatient, coordinatingthepatient'shealthcareandsomesocialservices, routinehealthcare (takingmedication, treatment, monitoring, etc.), personalcare (bathing, feeding, goingtothetoilet, dressing, etc.), shopping, smallhouseholdchores, moneymanagementandsharingthesamehouse is theexecution of thingssuch as (Ak et al., 2012). Maintenanceload; Psychosocialproblemscausedbycaregivercare, physicalhealthproblems, economicproblems, familyrelationsanddeterioration of thefeelingthatthecontrolitself is not expressingsuchnegativesituations (Yıldız, 2016). As a result, thecaregivers of individualswithchronicmentalproblems; stress, anxiety, shame, guilt, fear, helplessness, strain, anxiety, despair, anger, lossanddepressionarestatedtoexperiencefeelingssuch as (Tel, Ertekin Pinar, 2013). Since nursesarethehealthcarepersonnelwhoare in closecontactwithpatientsandtheirfamilies, it is one of the main tasks of caregiverstodeterminethecareburdensandthefactorsaffectingthisburdenandtoprovideappropriateappr oach, tomaintainthewellness of thecaregiversandtomaintainthepatientcare in a qualifiedway (Yıldırım, 2014 ).
