The Effect of Psychosocial Interventions On Social Functioning İn Schizophrenia: A Meta-Analysis

This study aimed to uncover the impact of psychosocial interventions on social functioning in patients with schizophrenia. For this meta-analysis study, without imposing any year restrictions, 5 studies were included by searching databases such as Web of Science, YÖK Thesis Center, Google Scholar, PubMed ve EBSCOhost between June 2023 and December 2023. The data were synthesized using meta-analysis and narrative synthesis methods. In this meta-analysis, there is a statistically significant increase in the mean scores of interventions aimed at improving social functioning in patients with schizophrenia (SMD: 1.100, 95% CI: 1.485 - 0.716; Z= 5.614, p = 0.000, I2= 64.426%). It is observed that the implementation of psychosocial interventions has a broad impact on improving social functioning in patients with schizophrenia
