This work; it includes the online education experiences of the first year students who registered to the Department of Architecture of the Faculty of Architecture at Dicle University in the 2020-2021 academic fall semester. Online education is a solution method quickly produced by higher education institutions as an alternative to face-to-face education, which cannot be done with the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic. Although this method is a familiar concept with the spread of computers and the internet, it is quite foreign to the architecture department, which gives vocational training with the studio system in an applied way. Professional architectural education is structured in the form of creating a three-dimensional perception with the guidance of the instructor, the experience gained from other students through group work, and the arrangement of sketches and models made by the instructor on the drawings. The architectural project course is the first course in which students acquire professional knowledge at the undergraduate level. Within the scope of this course, students; it is aimed to gain skills such as architectural terminology, learning technical drawing rules, creating plan setup, drawing sections and views, obtaining material knowledge, researching by determining concepts, learning about computers and programs, and preparing a presentation sheet. In addition, it is required to gain skills such as the ability to think in two and three dimensions together and making models. Study; it aims to determine the difficulties experienced in their vocational education, which started with the online education method due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and their perspectives on university life. In this context, the changing education systems and online architectural vocational trainings of the Covid-19 epidemic, which affects all countries around the world, are mentioned. By using this method, the factors affecting the online education experiences of the department students and their motivation for vocational education during the process were evaluated. By analyzing all these teachings, the findings of receiving architectural education with online education on students were evaluated. As a result, for the Architectural Project 1 course, it was determined that face-to-face education was more efficient than online education.
