Longoz forests are internationally important areas with different ecological systems and rich species structure in terms of biodiversity. Flooded forests, which host many living species, should be evaluated within the protection status. In this study made for these conservation decisions, considering the previous researches, the most appropriate solution to the conservation use balance problems of the Biosphere Reserve, which is one of the approaches in the longoz floodplain forest, is determined by determining whether the reserve's criteria are met or not. Considered as a candidate for a new biosphere reserve, the Acarlar Floodplain is undergoing important investigations and evaluations. In this context, a planning study was aimed to evaluate the biosphere reserve potential of the area and it was determined with this study that studies should be carried out to create zones in line with these targets. For this purpose, rarity and diversity scores were evaluated on the specified scale. By the way, it is aimed to raise the awareness of the definition of Biosphere reserve conceptually in terms of local people and other users in the area.
