In recent years, the consumers has been increasing to demand for little wrinkling or no wrinkling fabrics. For this reason, wrinkle recovery finishing processes studies have an important place in recent years. Used in traditional wrinkle recovery finishing processes chemicals both release formaldehyde and cause loss of strength. In some studies, it has been observed that the strength of fabrics treated with formaldehyde and this derivatives decreases during washing and the increases wrinkle angle recovery. DMPU (Dimethylolpropyleneurea) and DMDHEU (Dimethyloldihydroxyethyleneurea) which were used in these processes disrupt the cellulose chains and cause a decrease in fabric strength. For this reason, it has been aimed to reduce the strength loss and increase the wrinkle recovery angle in recent years studies. In this study was investigated that used to silicone emulsion which is an alternative to release formaldehyde traditional anti wrinkle finishing chemicals. In the studies, it has been observed that the silicone emulsion applied to the fabric increases the wrinkle recovery angle.
